In 1948, Chinese famous entrepreneur Mr.Rong Desheng set up “Kaiyuan Machine Company Wuxi Plant” beside the Liangxi river, under the Li bridge (Now located at No.11 Hubin Road). The history of Wuxi K-Yuan Machine Tools Group Co., Ltd begins. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, Its name changed into “Wuxi Machine Tool Plant”, which was selected as one of the 18 key enterprises in machine tools industry.

In 1997, after restructuring , it became “Wuxi K-Yuan Machine Tools Group Co., Ltd”. Under the jurisdiction of company had Wuxi-koyo machime tools company, Wuxi machine tools company, Kaiyuan casting Co., Ltd, Hongshen machine Company, Kaiyuan international trading co. Ltd and so on.

in 2008, the company started construction of three factory - wuxi hudai, new district and changzhou xueyan .The group headquarters moved into the hudai factory in 2010. Casting company moved into changzhou xueyan factory. Wuxi-koyo machine tools company moved into the new district factory. The original site remained the old site office.

In 2014, group company acquired haosheng machine company which is the subsidiary company of Wuxi machine tools Co., Ltd.

In 2015, Wuxi machine tools Co., Ltd was sold. In the same year, the company reached the cooperation intention with Japan's NSK. Then Kaiyuan international trading co. Ltd imported Japan's NSK spindle technology and renamed K-YUAN NSK Cooperative Spindle Maintenance Center, specializing in high-speed and high-precision spindle maintenance and reconstruction.

In 2016, the company reached the cooperation intention with noritake shanghai trading company and the joint grinding laboratory was set up based on K-YUAN NSK Cooperative Spindle Maintenance Center. The laboratory carried out the experiment of centerless grinder and double disc surface grinder to inprove the precision and stiffness of grinding machine and promote the use of Noritake’s advanced abrasive. The main inspection and testing equipments can detect the dynamic and static stiffness, vibration, thermal deformation, rotation and linear motion accuracy. Also the follow-up analysis method like finite element is provided.
